In the heart of the most beautiful district of the Medina, dotted with antique shops and the Dar El Bacha Palace, lies a unique property: Riad de Tarabel. A French and Moorish style mansion, Riad de Tarabel combines harmony and elegance embodied in tree-lined patios, terraces bathed in light, open lounges and comfortable nooks, in an original decor blending subtle traces of Moorish architecture with Second French Empire style.

"Hidden between the olive trees, about 20 kilometers from Marrakech, in a tiny berber village called Oumnas, you will find a serene oasis, a paradise where you’ll be able to leave the busy and bustling city behind and ultimately come to rest.
Pink walls made of clay from the garden, rooftops with palm and eucalyptus wood found in the area around. On one side it all feels authentic, with respect for the traditional Moroccan architecture, and on the other side it’s modern. Vintage finds are interspersed with design that easily mix with the Berber rugs and checkered tablecloths. Sounds a bit like a mishmash of styles but it all combines harmoniously.
Architect Romain Michel-Meniere has already made name for himself by designing a few riads and properties like the stylish and eclectic Bab Ourika (definitely on my list for a next visit to Morocco). But now, in his own Berber Lodge, everything seems to come together. Nature, authenticity, serenity, style and old fashioned cosiness. You will feel right at home here and you’ll never want to leave again. I will be back here for sure. [...] "

Au cœur de la Medina et ancrée dans le quartier historique de Dar el Bacha, cette demeure offre un oasis raffiné à deux pas des senteurs orientales, et des couleurs et des rythmes musicaux du Souk.
Eco-friendly stay near Marrakech.
Only a few minutes away from beautiful and bustling Marrakech stand the arid lands of Agafay desert. From the edge the Wad N'Fiss river to the plains of Haouz, through the foothills of the Atlas towards Amizmiz, this desert unfolds its rocky lunar landscapes over several hundred hectares. This landscape from canyon through plains to stony hillocks offers a rich palette of contrasts.
Inspired by the Berber tent of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert nomads, This eco lodge has imagined and created these lodges, made with basic materials, in order to combine comfort and charm. Between Berber tents and southern Africa lodges.

30 kilometers from Marrakech, in the anciently named the “Désert Marrakchi”, la pause: nestles in the arid beauty of the Agafay hills: an exquisite refreshing oasis bordered by a river, in a dramatic landscape overlooking the vast Moroccan wilderness. http://www.lapause-marrakech.com/en/We discovered this place on instagram. We have not visited it yet but it is definitely the kind of simple place we like. I am personally a big fan of guest houses. You can also sleep bivouac style if you wish or just get married on site.Douar Lmieh laroussieneMarrakech 40000+212 661-306494
